Arora Reaches ENR’s Top 500 Design Firms for the First Time

  • 2019 ENR Top 500 Design Firms

Arora is very excited to announce that we have made the 2019 ENR Top 500 Design Firms list for the first time at #482! Since expanding our scope and services in the early 2000s, it has been a long-term goal for Arora to make this list and to be among the largest firms in the country.

“When I assumed control of the firm, my goal was rapid growth on a national scale,” says Manik K. Arora, PE, President & CEO. “Since that time, Arora has expanded to 13 offices across the United States, 210 employees, and now three subsidiary companies, Arora Technology Group, LLC®, Arora Systems Group, LLC®, and Electronic Data, Inc. (EDI), the acquisition of which closed just this month. We are very proud that all our hard work and dedication has placed us among the largest and best firms in the country.”

The Top 500 Design Firms list, published every April, ranks the largest publicly and privately held US architecture and engineering firms, based on the “design-specific revenue” of a firm and its subsidiaries. Despite concerns about the industry, design firms have seen decent market growth over the past three to four years. According to ENR, “Taken as a group, the firms had a record total design revenue of $101.16 billion in 2018—up an impressive 7.7%—from $93.90 billion in 2017. Market growth was strongest on the domestic side, rising 8.9%, to $80.55 billion in 2018 from $73.97 billion in 2017. And revenue from projects outside the U.S. rose as well, up 3.4% to $20.61 billion.”

Thank you to our wonderful clients and our incredibly hardworking employees who have helped us reach this goal. We look forward to continuing our growth and success in the industry through consistent customer focus, communication, and innovation.
