9th Annual Liberty USO at PHL Celebrity Golf Outing Raises Over $100K

  • Arora Honored to Present Check to Liberty USO

Arora, in conjunction with Liberty USO, hosted the USO at PHL Celebrity Golf Outing at Concord Country Club on September 22, 2015. The golf outing brought together area aviation leaders to take part in a day on the links to benefit the USO hospitality programs and services at the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). In its 9th year, Arora has organized the USO at PHL golf outings as a way to give back to the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces that serve our country every day.

This year’s outing included appearances by former Phillies Darren “Dutch” Daulton and Mickey Morandini, former Eagles Jeremiah Trotter, Hollis Thomas, and Mike Mamula, as well as Miss New Jersey 2015 Lindsey Giannini. In addition, Sportsradio 94WIP’s Mike and Ike show broadcasted live from the event and Tony Bruno did a taping of his popular podcast, The Tony Bruno Show. Members of the Sixers dance team and the mascot Franklin also stopped by to lend their support to the cause.

Master Sgt. Sterling Randolph kicked off the day’s events with a stirring rendition of the National Anthem, followed by an afternoon of golf, cocktails, and dinner. The night concluded with a presentation of a check for $118K to Liberty USO, which Arora was happy to announce was the highest amount raised to date. President & CEO of Liberty USO, Joseph Brooks, was among those who enjoyed the day, stating “The 2015 golf outing was the finest to date. Not only in terms of sheer enjoyment, but also when viewed at the funds raised. Quite simply, Liberty USO could not afford to serve our military families without the support of Arora and the outing’s participants.”
