Pyrotechnics Research Lab - Army Corps of Engineers - NY District - Picatinny Arsenal, NJ

Project Detail: Arora provided fire protection engineering services for the design and construction of a pyrotechnics research laboratory. The firm identified appropriate detection and suppression methods, interfaced the fire protection system with other systems in the building, considered available water supply, and assessed explosion-proof requirements. The special system is backed up by with an automatic sprinkler system and the building's main fire alarm system. Project Benefit: Picatinny Arsenal is used by U.S. military operations for strategic training. With the implementation of sophisticated technology, Arora was able to maximize the usefulness of the lab.
