Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia Member Perspective: Vincent De Meis Jr., PE, PMP

  • Vince De Meis Chamber Commerce

Vincent De Meis, PE, PMP, Vice President, Middle States for Arora Engineers (Arora), was recently asked by the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia, “What role do infrastructure improvements play in increasing public transportation to new areas of the region?”  Vincent goes on to explain how infrastructure improvement projects are essential for expanding public transportation to new areas of the Greater Philadelphia region in several ways:

Firstly, they enable the establishment of new transit routes and networks, thereby improving connectivity between neighborhoods and communities. He says, “By strategically planning and implementing new rail, bus, and tram lines, infrastructure improvements ensure that public transportation becomes more accessible and convenient for residents across the city, including those in underserved communities who often rely heavily on public transit.”

Vincent also says infrastructure improvements can act as catalysts for economic development and revitalization. “By extending public transportation to new areas, we can unlock new opportunities for businesses and attract investments to new neighborhoods. The accessibility provided by well-connected transportation systems can bring economic benefits, create jobs, and improve the overall quality of life for residents.”

Overall, by making transportation more reliable and efficient, we can help build sustainability and promote economic growth and development across the region.

Arora is proud to be part of these important projects, and we are committed to helping to build a more equitable, sustainable, and prosperous future for all members of the Greater Philadelphia community.
