Chanel O’ Brien, ACE, Recognized in 2022 Airport Business Top 40 Under 40

Arora Engineers (Arora) is proud to announce Chanel O’ Brien, ACE, has been recognized in the 2022 Airport Business Top 40 Under 40.

The Top 40 Under 40 program showcases the airport industry’s top talent and leading thinkers who are driving success and innovations for the future. This is the eleventh year of program with Candidates for 2022 being vetted on innovation, outstanding attributes, and commitment and involvement in the industry. Arora’s own Chanel O’Brien and her fellow honorees were then selected by Airport Business staff and announced by Editorial Director Joe Petrie. Many past honorees have gone on to lead major institutions and projects within the aviation industry due to their dedication and recognition for their valuable skills.

Chanel joined Arora in 2019 as a CAD technician and was promoted to airfield electrical designer less than one year later. She is an experienced airfield design professional and is directly involved in the design of airfield lighting and lighting control systems as they pertain to FAA policies and standards. Chanel has been recognized repeatedly by her peers for exceptional accomplishments in support of Arora’s core values. Chanel also remains actively involved with Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority philanthropic work, including participating in organizations such as the local Special Olympics, Girls on the Run, and volunteers in her neighborhood community maintenance events located in East Falls, Philadelphia.

“I hope that my involvement in this industry attracts more young women to aviation and that they are brave enough to share their visions for the industry,” Chanel said. “Half of the customers airlines service are women, and we cannot properly cater to them if they aren’t part of the conversation. I am incredibly lucky to work for an organization that views their female colleagues as valued members of the organization instead of just a box they check.”
