Joseph A. Vigilante, PE Guest Lectures Introduction to Engineering Class
Joseph A. Vigilante, PE, Electrical Discipline Lead, was asked to guest lecture an Introduction to Engineering class at Delaware County Community College on April 25, 2018. Don Miller, PhD, Adjunct Professor, asked Joe to present a one hour lecture on the field of electrical engineering, his career outlook, and his personal roles and experiences to the students.
Joe discussed the history of electrical engineering as well as the qualities and skills that are needed to be successful in that discipline. Joe also detailed his 33 years of experience in the industry, where he has worked at 7 different firms/agencies.
The goal of the lecture was to share his knowledge and career path with the students so that they could receive a clear understanding of what a career in electrical engineering looks like from a true professional. Professor Miller and the students sincerely enjoyed Joe’s lecture, and he has been invited back to guest lecture future classes.
