MYR Terminal Expansion Featured in Airport Improvement
Arora Engineers (Arora) is proud to be featured in the March/April edition of Airport Improvement for our role in the Terminal Concourse Expansion at Myrtle Beach International Airport. Partnering with Gresham Smith, Arora delivered Special Systems engineering and construction phase services supporting the $70 million expansion, which added six new gates, enhanced passenger amenities, and expanded parking capacity to accommodate continued growth.
The feature highlights Arora’s work in telecommunications, security, audio-visual systems, and infrastructure integration that strengthen operational performance and elevate the passenger experience at MYR.
Heath Kolman, Vice President and special systems practice lead noted that early coordination was central to the design approach: “System redundancy and future capacity were addressed through early planning of the telecommunications and security systems architecture to support both current operations and future expansion.”
