DFW Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting Station

As part of Dallas Fort Worth International Airport’s Emergency Services Master Plan, Arora Engineers (Arora) provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), fire alarm, and fire protection engineering services for the consolidation of multiple aging Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) stations into two approximately 38,900-square-foot facilities, as well as a new fumigation facility supporting international cargo operations.

Delivered through a design-build partnership between JE Dunn Construction and PGAL, the project improved emergency response coverage, operational efficiency, and long-term airport resilience. Arora’s scope included the design of critical building systems, energy modeling supporting LEED Silver certification goals, and the development of separate BIM models for the East and West stations throughout the multi-year project.
