Pennsylvania Convention Center Authority, Fire Life Safety System Testing and Inspection Services
Arora Systems Group (ASG) serving as the prime consultant for the Pennsylvania Convention Center Authority, provided comprehensive Fire Alarm, Fire Damper, and Smoke Control System testing and inspection services at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, PA, under a four-year contract. In addition to scheduled testing and inspections, ASG was responsible for 24/7/365 on-call emergency response, as well as scheduled maintenance and repair services for the approximately 1,000,000 sq. ft. facility.
Scope of Work Included:
- Conducting annual Fire Alarm System testing, inspections, and certifications, along with smoke control and fire damper inspections.
- Ensuring all work complied with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, the City of Philadelphia Building Construction and Occupancy Code, and relevant sections of the International Building Code, International Mechanical Code, International Fire Code, and NFPA.
- Coordinating schedules around facility availability, events, and ongoing operations, while providing all necessary temporary protections to complete the work.
- Supporting and coordinating with other contractor trades involved in fire systems work.
- Providing services over a four-year period.
- Offering emergency on-call service within four hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Testing audible devices after normal business hours to minimize disruption.
