Zoological Society of Philadelphia, Philadelphia Zoo – Bear Habitat
Arora Engineers is providing engineering services for the Philadelphia Zoo’s “Bear Country” renovation. The project was made possible by a milestone $5 million gift from the W. P. Carey Foundation. The overall $20 million effort is being supported by the City of Philadelphia, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, William Penn Foundation, donors, and continued fundraising. The bear exhibit broke ground in early 2025, with completion planned for 2026. Our team is particularly excited about the chance to design and implement sustainable habitats that not only meet the needs of the animals but also enhance the visitor experience. We look forward to collaborating with the dedicated staff and learning from the diverse species we will help protect. This is more than just a job for us; it’s an opportunity to make a lasting impact on the environment and the community.
