Steel Framing In Progress at Lehigh Valley International Airport
Steel framing is currently in progress for the Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) Terminal Connector/ TSA Checkpoint project. The new Terminal Connector / TSA Security Expansion will change the entire travel experience for passengers with up to four lanes of TSA Security Screening and a more direct connection to the Departure Terminal that will be accessible from the ticket counter level.
Arora was recently featured in an article entitled, “A Move in the ‘Flight’ Direction: Lehigh Valley Airport is Expanding.” The article features Arora and our work as the prime consultant on this project. Thomas Cook, Project Construction Manager, says that in his 14 years of experience at Arora, this is one of the biggest projects he has undertaken. Cook’s role is to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget and manage all required inspections. He goes on to say, “The airport has done a tremendous job, and I have to give the contractors a lot of credit, as we’ve worked to bring the project together so we can deliver exactly what we agreed to almost two years ago and make it an exciting opening for the airport.”
The overall goal of this project is to improve the Level of Service for both the Departing and Arriving Passengers at ABE. While the project is still in the early stages, it is set to finish in 2023.
