Arora Engineers, Inc. and the Liberty USO celebrated another successful USO at PHL Celebrity Golf Outing on September 12, 2017. Each year this event brings aviation industry leaders from the greater Philadelphia area together for a fun afternoon of golf, networking, and most importantly, raising funds for the Liberty USO Center at the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). Through the generous efforts of our sponsors and participants, this year’s event raised over $100K for the USO hospitality programs and services at PHL.

This year we were joined by celebrities from sports and entertainment including: Miss Pennsylvania Cassandra Angst; Miss Tenn Pennsylvania Laura Ann Weaver; former Philadelphia Flyers Bob Kelly, John LeClair, and Brian Propp; former Phillies Dickie Noles and Jeff Manto; former Eagles Gerry Feehery and Tra Thomas. We were also honored to have a foursome of Army servicemen play with us: Staff Sergeant First Class Michael Tyo, Staff Sergeant First Class Matthew Parsons, Staff Sergeant Kurt Dimmerling, and Staff Sergeant Richard Hamburg.

Chellie Cameron, CEO of Philadelphia International Airport, gave this year’s keynote address and emphasized the need to improve the facilities of the USO Center at PHL. Chellie announced that the team will work to make this the “best USO facility in the country.” Joseph Brooks, President & CEO of the USO of Pennsylvania and Southern NJ stated, “Military families passing through Philadelphia International Airport will have a world class USO center deserving of their service and sacrifice thanks to Arora and these aviation industry leaders.”

Thank you to all those who organized, sponsored, and participated in this great event. Arora is proud to continue to raise funds for this very important organization and the work that they do for our troops.
