PHL Terminal F is Project of the Year at March of Dimes Luncheon

Arora Engineers was once again proud to serve as a Gold Sponsor of the 23rd annual March of Dimes Transportation, Building + Construction Awards Luncheon held on Wednesday, March 16th at the Reading Terminal Ballroom at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Arora was especially proud to be there to see Philadelphia International Airport’s new Terminal F honored as Project of the Year. Arora served as a member of the design team, led by The Sheward Partnership, responsible for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and special systems engineering, as well as providing services during construction. The Terminal F expansion project also included a new baggage claim building and ticketing facilities.

Service to Humanity Award Honorees included The Honorable Jim Kenney, Mayor of the City of Philadelphia, Wayne Miller, Business Manager for the Sprinkler Fitters Local 692, and Leslie Richards, Secretary of Transportation of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. A Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Joseph P. McAtee, PE, FCMAA of Urban Engineers, Inc.

Money raised from the event will go to help fund prenatal wellness initiatives and provide neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) family support programs as well as support research at Pennsylvania hospitals and universities to prevent birth defects, premature births, and infant mortality. Arora’s President & CEO, Manik Arora, PE serves on the Board of Directors for the Southeastern Pennsylvania March of Dimes.
