Arora Celebrates Engineering Scholarship Recipient Paisley Tabor

Arora Engineers (Arora) is proud to celebrate Paisely Tabor, a mechanical engineering student at Stanford University and recipient of the J.A. Watts Diversity in Engineering Scholarship through the ACEC Research Institute.

Growing up in rural Appalachia, Paisley saw how infrastructure, representation, and exposure to STEM can shape the opportunities students imagine for themselves. Those experiences inspired her to pursue engineering, mentor younger students, and support women in STEM.

The scholarship helps Paisley focus on her coursework, leadership, and hands-on engineering experiences as she works toward becoming a Professional Engineer. She hopes to develop solutions that address community needs while encouraging girls from rural and underrepresented communities to see a future for themselves in engineering.

“This scholarship helps me focus on my education and gain hands-on engineering experience. I hope to use what I learn to serve communities and help other young women see that they belong in engineering too.”
