Arora Celebrates Opening of SEPTA’s New Wissahickon Transportation Center

Our team proudly attended the ribbon cutting for SEPTA’s brand-new Wissahickon Transportation Center in Manayunk! The new hub is six times larger than the original, designed for smoother transfers, and built to support up to 5,000 riders a day. Located on Ridge Avenue near Main Street and just steps from the Regional Rail station, the upgraded center delivers better connections, easier navigation, and a much more comfortable waiting experience for riders on the go.

Arora’s Part in Bringing It All Together

Behind this new commuter-friendly hub is a lot of engineering teamwork. As a subconsultant to McCormick Taylor, Arora Engineers (Arora) helped support the project with Electrical, Fire Life Safety, and Fire Protection design services. From lighting and power distribution to fire alarm and sprinkler concepts, Arora delivered the core system designs needed for a safe, efficient, and modern transit hub.
