Arora Volunteers at the Brandywine Valley SPCA

Arora staff volunteered at a local animal shelter, Brandywine Valley SPCA as part of our May Mental Health Awareness Campaign. Our goal was to create an emotionally rewarding experience outside of our typical workday to connect with our community and some of its most vulnerable members, shelter animals. Arora staff did not take the task lightly and rallied with with boxes of gently used blankets and towels. The team also helped with organizing, cleaning, and light landscaping. We wanted to make a difference in the well-being of the shelter animals and collaborate in shared cause.

Our Human Resources team organized the office outing including registrations, waivers, and travel coordination. Erica Michetti, Sr. Human Resources Specialist, Planning and Design stated, “We wanted to create an event that would bring our team together in a meaningful way. The shelter is always in need of a helping hand, and we saw this as a great opportunity to merge our mental health awareness campaign and employee wellness with a great cause.”

Animal shelters rely heavily on volunteers, with so many animals constantly being brought in, there are numerous tasks that need to be done. Volunteering just a few hours of your time each week can make a significant difference. If you’re interested in volunteering, reach out to your local animal shelter to inquire about opportunities and how you can get involved.
