Arora Supports World’s Best Independent Airport Lounge at LaGuardia Airport
Luxury travel experiences continue to reshape passenger expectations, and the Chase Sapphire Lounge at New York’s LaGuardia Airport Terminal B is a prime example. Recently named the World’s Best Independent Airport Lounge in the 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards, the 19,100-square-foot, two-level lounge delivers a premium hospitality experience through elevated dining, wellness amenities, private suites, and exclusive passenger services.
As a subconsultant to Corgan, Arora Engineers (Arora) provided comprehensive Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Fire Alarm, and Special Systems design services for the lounge and its associated support spaces. Arora’s team also delivered LEED and commissioning support aligned with USGBC LEED Gold and Port Authority sustainability objectives while providing construction administration services throughout project execution.
Beyond the main lounge, Arora provided engineering design for a dedicated VIP tarmac transfer area, including specialty lighting, signage power, and EV charging infrastructure, while also supporting upgrades to adjacent operational spaces. These integrated solutions help support the seamless, high-end travel experience that has contributed to the lounge’s industry recognition.
As airports continue to redefine the passenger journey, projects like the Chase Sapphire Lounge demonstrate how engineering, hospitality, and innovation can come together to create memorable travel experiences.
