Global Design Director
Balamurali (Bala) has nearly three decades of experience in the design and management of multi-billion-dollar international infrastructure projects, including 17+ years spent managing Mega airport programs. Prior to joining Arora, he served as Head of Design at Bangalore International Airport for all renovation and redevelopment projects, including the new, 2.5M SF Terminal 2.
He is uniquely qualified to lead Arora’s Global Design Team due to his extensive experience managing full lifecycle design programs for greenfield and brownfield airport terminal projects across India. He has overseen multidisciplinary teams responsible for the design of numerous billion-dollar, multi-million-square foot passenger terminal projects and achieved design optimization by incorporating sustainable design practices, interdisciplinary coordination, establishing quality check methodology and value engineering at all design stages.
As Global Design Director he will play a key role in our quality control process, oversee large infrastructure projects and develop Arora’s international operations and presence in India. He will apply skill and strategy to grow our global design presence and staff within India to provide our international clients with expert professional services in alignment with Arora’s vision statement, “To be a Leader and Innovator in Rethinking Infrastructure.”
Bala is a certified Bollywood actor and performed stage plays. He is a salsa & Bollywood dancer and has done professional stage performances. He is a certified Yoga & Samadhi Guru. He modified his car for his daughter (German Shepherd) and did a road trip along Arabian sea and his travel experience blog was selected and published by Tripoto.
