David Grigg, GISP Joins the Esri Airports Industry Advisory Board

In the fall of 2018, Esri established a transportation team that would consolidate resources and efforts across 5 markets: Transit, Highways, Rail, Ports, and Airports. As they began building out their staff and developing relationships with key partners, users, and experts, they decided to form Industry Advisory Boards (IABs) for specific market segments.

According to Esri, “The purpose of the IABs will be to communicate Esri’s intentions and directions for serving the individual market segments and solicit feedback on what we should be doing as a company to improve our transportation products, services, support, customer interaction, market approach or anything that the IAB participants believe that we should hear and consider.”

David Grigg, GISP, Arora’s Vice President, Geospatial Solutions, was invited to join the Esri Airports Industry Advisory Board this summer. “I am honored to participate and to contribute my experience and knowledge of the airport industry to the advisory board,” says David. “I am excited to work with the team to help provide tools and solutions to the aviation community to address future Geospatial projects and business scenarios.”

Additional members of the Aviation IAB were recruited from major airports around the world, other leading consulting companies, solution providers, and government agencies. The team’s inaugural meeting took place at the 2019 Esri User Conference, and they plan to meet several more times throughout the year.
