Employee Spotlight: Jenna Ahart’s Arora Internship Journey, Celebrating Her Contributions and Future Endeavors

Ms. Jenna Ahart, Arora’s marketing intern, affectionately known by her colleagues as our “Queen of Marketing,” is every bit as brilliant and charming as her title suggests.

From day one, Jenna threw herself into her work with the kind of passion that is both rare and contagious. She has spent two summers and twice as many semesters creating, writing, editing, and disseminating hundreds of pieces of content for the Arora companies across multiple platforms for thousands of important proposals, articles, trade shows, and more.

Jenna has touched nearly every aspect of professional services and product marketing during her internship at Arora, from drafting project profiles and helping to format proposal information, to creating and editing website content for multiple company websites, to reviewing and revising collateral for the Arora ATLAS® suite of mobile products, to assisting with prepping and packing for trade shows, and so much more.

Jenna’s work was thorough, thoughtful, and always delivered with a creative flair. She didn’t just stick to the familiar; she took on new tasks with courage and inquisitiveness. She utilized nearly every product in the Adobe Acrobat suite, updated and maintained data our CRM system, and even taught the team her own tips, tricks, and lingo to keep Arora on the cutting edge. Her open-mindedness and genuine curiosity made her not just a great intern, but a beloved colleague.

One of the most memorable chapters in Jenna’s journey with us was her work exalting Arora’s sustainability initiatives. As someone deeply passionate about sustainability, during her final semester at George Washington University she channeled that passion into a capstone project for Arora that culminated in a paper and infographic on our sustainability experience and capabilities. Check out her infographic, which summarizes our LEED-accredited staff, LEED-certified projects across various categories, and our sustainable design tools and internal initiatives— we are so grateful for her hard work to create something that will continue to serve Arora and our clients long after she’s moved on.

Jenna’s passion for exploration and discovery wasn’t limited to her work at Arora. Last summer, Jenna took a brief hiatus from Arora to take on an exciting internship at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center for the Center for Research and Exploration in Space Science & Technology II (CRESST II). The overall goal of CRESST II is to support and enhance research and technology in the space sciences in support of NASA’s strategic science mission. She wrote about high-energy astrophysics discoveries, crafted artwork and videos to share the incredible work of NASA and her fellow interns and soaked up every bit of knowledge she could.

This past June, Jenna graduated from The George Washington University’s School of Media and Public Affairs with a major in Journalism and Mass Communication and a minor in Astronomy and Astrophysics. Her achievements didn’t stop there—she was subsequently awarded the Taylor/Blakeslee University Fellowship by the Council for the Advancement of Science Writing to support her graduate studies and reporting.

This fall, Jenna will embark on a new adventure at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she will attend the prestigious Science Communication master’s program. Through the program’s Astrobiology Fellowship, she’ll work with the directors of UCSC’s Astrobiology Initiative and the Science Communication program to cover ongoing research on life beyond Earth. She is this year’s Physical Sciences Fellow, working under the mentorship of Natalie Wolchover, a senior editor at Quanta Magazine and a Pulitzer Prize recipient.

As Jenna prepares to move across the coast and begin this exciting new chapter of her life, we find ourselves reflecting on the incredible journey we’ve shared with her. Hearing about her summer plans and future endeavors fills us with a mix of emotions—joy, pride, and, yes, a touch of sadness. Saying goodbye is never easy, but it’s also a reminder of the possibilities that lie ahead for those who are brave enough to chase them.

We couldn’t be prouder of everything you’ve achieved, Jenna. Though it’s bittersweet to say goodbye, we’re certain you’re on a path to greatness.

Here’s what Jenna’s colleagues have to say about the Queen of Marketing herself:

I am sure she will be successful in her career and wish her the best.”
