PHL Multi-User Flight Information Display

Arora provided design for an upgraded MUFIDS system that enabled PHL to improve customer service, increase revenue and maximize operational efficiencies.

The new multi-user flight information display system (MUFIDS) infrastructure provides airport users with more accurate information on flight arrivals/departures, access to advertising and digital signage, and gate and baggage claim locations. By improving and standardizing the present network equipment, Arora’s design made it possible for multiple airlines to use a single ticket or gate check-in counter and to consolidate airline self-service kiosks to eliminate long check-in lines.

The design also included an enhanced and ADA-compliant visual paging system for hearing-impaired users, and PHL was one of the first facilities of its kind in the region to have an integrated visual paging.
